Must Have Supplies For Your New Puppy

I can’t believe I’m saying this but…we are soon bringing home a new puppy. This is coming from the woman who isn’t the biggest fan of animals. Don’t get me wrong I love animals, I love other people’s animals!

However, my son has been asking for a puppy for years and I’ve finally decided it was time. It didn’t realize how much preparation went into getting a puppy! It’s been a long time since we had a puppy in the house.

All of the supplies, setting up a vet, reading up on training and much more.

A good create is a must have! Now, I know some people think crating your dog is a bad thing but honestly it’s not. It’s all in how you use your crate. We use ours to keep our dog safe when we can’t watch after him and to help with potty training.

Face it puppies love to chew on stuff! There isn’t a reason to punish them for chewing. Instead redirect them to something they are allowed to chew on. We love Kongs!

When your dog has an accident in the house it isn’t enough to just clean it up with soap and water as the dog will still smell the urine and go back to that spot. Lastly, a good leash is key. You will use your leash to take your dogs on walks, keep him or her by your side in the house and with training.
