I am so relieved to hear that it didn’t hurt with an aspirin! I have to tell you, I forgot the aspirin and regretted it big time! That did hurt. The healing process took a day or so for the area to stop being sensitive. My waxer was a pro (she’s also my facialist and has done my brows) and actually used to be a cosmetology instructor but she said that my hair was especially thick and had very strong roots! I bet aspirin pre-wax would have made a huge difference.

I have some girl friends that have been trying to convince me to go with them to get a Brazilian wax, but I’ve been terrified of going! I don’t do well with pain at all, and I’ve heard so many bad things about Brazilian waxes. However, your article helped put me at ease, at least a little bit. I’ll definitely be taking some aspirin before I go if I choose to go through with it! Thanks for the advice and the reassurance.

Probably no more pain than eyebrows waxed?
Then your tips were very good. Personally I just like to shave each day but I guess not having to do anything at all of a month sounds pretty good.

Honestly it’s not so bad. I used to go alot. But at $70 a pop plus a tip, I had to cut back as our family grew. The lady who waxes me is awesome. I was so nervous my first time but it wasn’t as bad as others make it seem. She tells me that one of her regulars always comes in completely wasted (LOL) I’m sure it was be hilarious but totally uncalled for in a matter of speaking about pain. Just give it a go. Doesn’t hurt to try. Goodluck ladies!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I haven’t had the guts to do one of these yet – but the aspirin (or even something stronger) beforehand sounds like a good idea!
