I absolutely love reading blog traffic reports from other bloggers. The problem I have with these income and traffic reports is that it’s mainly coming from big bloggers making a lot of money, with a lot of traffic! Their reports are so inspiring, but I feel that some bloggers get a false set of expectations. If you want to make a full-time income and have loads of pageviews, you’ll have to start from the beginning. There will be trial and error and I hope you’ll follow along on my blogging journey.
I’ve always felt like smaller bloggers are embarrassed or ashamed of having low numbers compared to other more established bloggers.
We all have to start somewhere so please don’t ever be ashamed of your numbers! Even ProBlogger started with 1 pageview.
So, without further ado here are my stats for November, December and January!
January 3rd Month of Blogging
Technically, January is my third month of blogging but I really consider it my first. January was the month that my site got a custom design, the first month that I actively posted and promoted on social media. It was a lot of work since I work full-time but I can see my efforts slowly starting to pay off.
You won’t find any income in this report as I’m not making any money besides a few pennies a day from Adsense. Seriously, just pennies!
My goals for February are to bump up the amount of posts I have. I also need to spend some time working on my social media channels and connecting with other bloggers.
Number of posts: 21
Pageviews: 6960
Facebook Fans: 262 (Gain of 147 over the month of January)
Twitter: 2598 (Gain of 309 over the month of January)
Pinterest: 1804 (Gain of 236 over the month of January)

Kristi,
I can't thank you enough for this post! I am an infant blogger with only three posts on a brand new blog. Your example gives me hope. Looking forward to seeing your next report. Lisa

You are so welcome! Just stick to the plan and you can accomplish any goals you set for your blog. My biggest tip is to join some blogging Facebook groups and get to know other bloggers. It's so awesome to have support from people who really get it.

This is so inspiring, Kristi! As an even newer blogger than you, I am so happy you chose to share your stats! Looking at traffic reports from larger blogs can leave me feeling a bit defeated,

You are welcome! I was hoping that sharing my numbers would help similar sized bloggers realize we all have to start somewhere.

Very insightful and inspiring! I've been blogging since March of last year, and you're rocking it with just three months behind you! How did you get your social media accounts so high so quickly? That is awesome! Good luck with everything!

Thank you! I already had an established Twitter and Pinterest following. I had a blog several years ago and just kept using those accounts. Now, I'm working on growing them.
