About My Family
My amazing husband John is my biggest fan! He supports all the crazy ideas I come up with. Believe me, I come up with a lot of them.
I also have four busy children ranging from 20 to 9-months-old.
Iziah is my oldest, he turned 20 in 2017. I like to call him my genius since he is just so smart. He loves reading about history, playing video games and spending time with his friends.
JJ is the middle child but you wouldn’t know it from his personality. He’s twelve years old (as of 2017) and is on his 6th year of tackle football, he plays middle linebacker. This kid knows EVERYTHING about football! He is also a huge Raiders fan.
Sophia is our baby, she’s 8 years old (as of 2017). She is also my fashionista! She loves watching YouTube beauty tutorials, designing jewelry and spending time with her family. She recently started competitive cheer and tumbling…she’s keeping mom and dad busy!
Jackson is our baby, born July 2017. He loves to keep mama up at all hours of the day and night. He also loves playing with his older brothers and sister. We are excited to watch him come into his own personality.

What is The Classy Chapter?
It’s the phase you enter when you are no longer doing keg stands, partying till 3am or gossiping with your girlfriends about other women. It’s the stage in your life when things start to feel a bit more calming. You are okay with spending a Friday night asleep by 10pm, you’re sipping wine – not jello shots…it’s simply a different phase in life.
The Classy Chapter came about after standing in line at the grocery store one Sunday afternoon. While standing in line I was browsing the magazines and without hesitation, I grabbed the latest issue of Cosmo and threw it in the cart. I mean why wouldn’t I grab Cosmo? I had been reading it for the last 17 years.
Fast forward to that evening.
After putting the groceries away, I made myself a cup of coffee, sat on the couch and opened up the Cosmo magazine I just purchased.
I quickly noticed that I wasn’t really reading the articles the way I used to. I was kind of skimming over them and becoming less and less interested by the second.
I have three kids sleeping in bed and a husband sitting on the couch next to me. Why should I care about articles like “Meeting the boyfriend’s parents for the first time”, “What to do after a one-night stand” or “Decoding his text messages: What they really mean”?
It was that moment that I realized I was way to married for Cosmo yet the other magazines like Redbook, SELF and Woman’s Day didn’t match my current lifestyle. I still care about hair, makeup, fashion and all those other fun girly topics. That’s when The Classy Chapter came to life!
