Weight Watchers breakfast pizza

Weight Watchers Breakfast Pizza

I don’t know about you but I always struggle to come up with breakfast ideas.

This Weight Watchers Breakfast Pizza is so filling AND low in points!

Even better, it’s a recipe that the whole family can enjoy. I will often make this breakfast pizza on Saturday mornings as a treat for the family.

Isn’t it great when you can make your favorite Weight Watchers meals for the whole family? I seriously hate trying to make multiple meals just because I’m trying to make better food choices.

Any ideas to further save on points?

Yes, you can make any adjustments that you’d like. If you want to save some points, you can try fat-free mozzarella, you can skip the turkey sausage and instead load up on veggies. Bell peppers, onions, garlic and spinach would be GREAT on this pizza!

Do I have to make my own low-point dough?

Nope, you can definitely purchase pre-made dough but you will want to account for the points.

Can I make this breakfast pizza in advance?

Yes! Sometimes, I’ll make the dough the night before so it’s ready for me in the morning. I’m all about saving time in the mornings, so this is a great hack.

How many points are in a Weight Watchers Breakfast Pizza?

It will vary based on which ingredients you use but this breakfast pizza is 5 to 7 points depending on which plan you are on.

Do you have any other Weight Watchers Meal ideas?

Of course! If you are looking for something on the sweeter side, make sure to try my Weight Watchers Cheesecake. If you are after a tasty dinner option, these Instant Pot Tamales are so delicious and perfect for Weight Watchers. You can also look over my Weight Watchers Meal Plan. This will give you some insight into what I eat in a typical week.

If you are on the MyWW Blue or Purple plan this breakfast pizza is 5 points. Green plan, you’ll want to calculate for 7 points.

Read above if you are looking for ways to save on points!

Hosting a brunch? This is a GREAT breakfast item to serve! Prepare the dough, prep a variety of ingredients and let each person make their own pizza.

Weight Watchers Breakfast Pizza

Weight Watchers Breakfast Pizza

Yield: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 27 minutes

Weight Watchers Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat Mexican Shredded Cheese
  • Turkey breakfast sausage links
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425℉.

Take sausage out of the freezer.

Combine salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders and oregano in a small bowl.

Lightly spray your baking dish.

Combine both yogurt and flour inside a mixing bowl and blend until ingredients have formed.

If your dough still feels a little sticky, sprinkle flour onto dough until it feels solid and easy to separate.

Continue to knead the dough for 2 to 4 minutes

Place dough on top of the floured surface and sprinkle flour on top as well.

Cut dough into four pieces.

Press dough with fingers to stretch it out. Lift off of your surface and gently stretch and pull the dough until the desired thickness and size is reached.

Place in the baking dish and pierce around with a fork, paying attention to any air bubbles.

Roll up the sides, pinching as needed, to form a crust.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Cut 4 pieces of sausage into pieces. (They are still a bit frozen, but a little paring knife worked perfectly.)

Arrange the sausage around the pizza.

Crack an egg in the center.

Sprinkle with spice mixture.

Repeat for remaining pizzas.

Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until dough and eggs are cooked.

Notes

If you like your eggs less done, I suggest cooking the pizza WITHOUT the egg for 5 minutes, then remove from oven, add egg and then cook for the remaining amount of time.

Weight Watchers is becoming a wildly hot lifestyle for many people.

This simple program allows you to enjoy your favorite foods without having to put yourself on too strong of a restriction.

With a point system that lets you have a specific number of points per day, you can easily reach your weight loss goals without losing some of your favorites, like pizza!

Since there are many people thinking about Weight Watchers, but still left wondering if this is just some diet fad that lets you lose weight only to add those pounds back on, I wanted to share an extensive article about Weight Watchers.

Today I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about Weight Watchers so that you can make an educated decision.

How does the Weight Watchers program work?

The WW program works by assessing each member based on height, weight, gender, and age. From that point, Weight Watchers will evaluate how much food you need to eat in order to lose weight.

WW is great at determining a safe rate of food consumption so that you can lose weight AND keep it off. The recommended safe weight loss number is 1-2 pounds per week.

Once your personal assessment is complete, the WW program will create a daily point value. This is the number of points you can consume every day.

You’ll find that some food options have zero points, things like vegetables as an example can have a zero point value.

Each day you’ll keep a food journal to log how many points you’ve consumed to maintain the recommended level of points in the WW program.

Can you eat too many zero point foods on Weight Watchers?

I mentioned zero point foods on Weight Watchers. One important thing to note is that the zero point foods were created to help you eat healthy food options.

Although you can have as many zero point foods as you’d like, I still use caution.

As an example, in my plan, a chicken breast is zero points. This doesn’t mean that I’m going to have 3 chicken breasts for dinner.

I personally like to build my meals around my zero point foods!

FitBreak App

Weight Watchers understands the value of physical activity combined with healthy eating habits as a means to lose weight and keep it off. That’s why the WW program has a FitBreak App.

This app helps encourage you to squeeze fitness into your busy day.

The awesome thing about WW’s FitBreak App is that it takes into consideration how busy we are during our daily lives. Each of the workout options and activity recommendations is based on short, one-minute exercise options that anyone can fit into a busy day.

Community Support

The WW program understands you and how human beings need a support system in order to be successful with any new goal, such as weight loss.

That’s why Weight Watchers has many support groups that help members encourage each other. You will have access to a coach 24/7 using their app so that you’re able to find support whenever it’s needed.

Most people who have set a weight loss goal with the WW program have found that the Weight Watchers support groups add that extra layer of accountability so that they can achieve their goal.

What is the monthly cost of Weight Watchers?

I’m sure you’re now wondering how much the monthly cost of Weight Watchers is. The monthly fee for Weight Watchers will vary depending on which option you select. There are currently three levels of the Weight Watchers program to choose from.

One level is the digital WW program. This costs approximately $4.22 per week. The next level of the WW program is the Workshop option and that costs approximately $9.61 per week.

Finally, the Coaching WW program option is currently offered at $12.69 per week.

These rates are based on paying for 3 months at a time. If you opt to pay for 6 months in advance, or 1 month in advance the rate will be lower or higher respectively per program option.

If you sign up using my link, we each get a month free! If you’d like to use my referral link you can do so by clicking here.

How can I lose weight on WW?

The beauty of the WW program is that anyone can lose weight using their 24/7 coaching, support groups, and personalized assessment. With the points system, you can easily find ways to feel full every day when you opt to make full course meals using mostly zero point foods.

One of the best ways people have lost weight and kept it off using Weight Watchers is that the program not only helps you stay on track with their points system, but they help educate you on healthier eating habits.

That means, once you’ve reached your goal weight, you’ll have all of the tools necessary to continue with your healthy lifestyle habits to maintain your goal weight.

One final tidbit of information that you need to know about starting Weight Watchers is that you don’t have to end once you’ve reached your goal weight. There’s a maintenance mode option with the WW program that allows you to stay active but gives you a higher daily point value to ensure you stay within a 2-pound fluctuation of your end goal weight.

Instant Pot Tamales? Yes, please!

I’m a sucker for good Mexican food. I don’t care what it is, I’ll eat it!

tamales

Instant Pot Easy Chicken Tamales

With that said, I’m extremely picky with my Mexican food. It needs to have flavor, don’t come at me with some bland Mexican food.

This recipe will serve between 16 and 20 people. If you are looking to feed a larger crowd, simply double everything.

Commonly Asked Questions:

Can I freeze these tamales?

Yes, you can definitely freeze these chicken tamales. I like to dethaw them in the fridge but you can also use the defrost option on your microwave.

Can I use a different filling?

You most certainly can. You’ll just need to adjust the cooking time for the meat you select.

I don’t understand how to wrap the tamales.

I agree wrapping tamales have always been a bit tricky for me. Personally, I go to YouTube. Here is a video that has helped me.

Are tamales only served at Christmas?

They are a popular item at Christmas but they can be served all year long. We have tamales several times a year.

I’m currently on Weight Watchers, how many points are these tamales?

I’m currently on the blue plan and this recipe comes out to 2 points per tamale. Trust me when I say I end up spending around 6 points eating these, one is never enough!

Which Instant Pot do you have?

I’m using the Instant Pot Duo. You can see it here

To make this recipe, you’ll want to ensure you have the following items on hand:

Olive oil
Roja salsa
Rotisserie chicken (if you are on Weight Watchers, only use the white meat)
Salt
Smoked paprika
Cumin
Chicken broth

For the tamales:
Corn Husks
Masa
Water

Instant Pot Tamales

Instant Pot Tamales

Yield: 20
Prep Time: 2 hours
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 2 hours 35 minutes

Easy Instant Pot Chicken Tamales

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 cups roja salsa
  • ¾ lb cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Smoked paprika
  • 1 Tsp. Cumin
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • For the tamales:
  • 16-20 Corn Husks
  • 2 1/2 cups prepared masa
  • 1 cup of Water

Instructions

Corn Husks:
In a large pot soak the corn husks in water on low for 2 hours.
Drain water.

For the Filling:
Set on saute in your Instant Pot add the olive oil.
Shred the rotisserie chicken, and add to the pot.
Make sure to have ALL bones and skin removed.
Add the Salsa Roja, cumin, paprika, and chicken broth.
Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Turn heat off and let cool.
Remove the chicken and place in a bowl to the side.

Tamales:
Prepare masa as directed on the masa bag.
Smear a thin layer of prepared masa on each corn husk.
To the middle of the masa layer, add a small scoop of the chicken filling.
Fold the corn husk like wrapping a gift. The sides folded in first then the ends.

Place the tamale on a tray side edges down.
Set aside.
Repeat until you are out of chicken filling.
Place the steam rack on the bottom of the Instant Pot.
Add 1 cup of water.
Place all the uncooked tamales on the rack, standing upright.

Make sure to pack them in to limit movement .
Lock the lid in place.
Turn the valve to "SEALING."
Set the Instant Pot to pressure cook at high pressure 35 minutes.
When the pressure cooking is done, let the steam release for a few minutes.
Then turn the valve to "venting."
Remove the lid.
Enjoy!

Most of you know that I’ve been following the Weight Watchers plan for a while now.

One of my favorite things about this plan is that I can pretty much eat anything I want!

Sometimes that means planning lower point meals or getting creative with how I cook. These Weight Watcher friendly chocolate banana muffins are the perfect way to fix that chocolate craving without using up all your daily points!

Weight Watcher Friendly Chocolate Banana Muffins

I don’t know about you but every night after dinner, I have a major sweet tooth. Usually, I have one of my Built Bars but I’ve been getting burnt out on having one every single night, so I needed a change.

These muffins have definitely hit the spot. Not only are they so delicious but they are only 3 WW points!

Eating one of these in the evening always hits the spot.

However, I want to caution you that it’s easy to eat more than one, which would not be good for your daily points.

Thankfully, these muffins freeze up really nicely.

After baking a batch, I freeze them all in individual baggies. I usually take one out in the morning so that it’s defrosted by the time evening rolls around.

Freezing the muffins also helps keep the kids from eating them all as well!

To make this recipe, you’ll want to make sure you have a few things on hand.

  • Oats
  • Bananas
  • Eggs
  • Brown sugar
  • Nonfat Greek yogurt
  • Vanilla
  • Baking powder
  • Baking soda
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Chocolate chips

Make sure you check out my Instant Pot Tamales as well, they are WW friendly!

  • 3 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place 1 ½ cups of oats in a blender or food processor and blend until a flour-like consistency forms. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add eggs, brown sugar, yogurt, and vanilla. Mix to combine.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop batter into muffin tin and sprinkle with additional oats, if desired.

As you can see, a normal day for me has a pretty good variety of food. Sometimes I use my weely points and other times I don’t. I don’t starve myself and I ensure I’m full.

The great thing about Weight Watchers is that you make it work for YOUR lifestyle!

Yes, a little more planning is involved while doing Weight Watchers but it’s so worth it! I love having healthy snacks around my home, not only for myself but for my family as well.

There are a TON of diets out there and picking the one that works for you isn’t always easy. For me, Weight Watchers was hands down the best choice.

Does Weight Watchers really work? Weight Watchers, Weight Watcher meal plan

I don’t have a ton of weight to lose so I wanted to ensure whatever program I selected would help me keep the weight off long term.

I’m 5’2 and I currently weight 150 pounds. My entire life I’ve been around 105 pounds. I was SUPER tiny!

My goal is not to be at 105 pounds but I’d love to be around 120 pounds which is a healthy weight for me.

So why Weight Watchers?

It’s not a diet.

This was a huge one for me because I’m not great at diets. I’ve seen a lot of my friends have amazing success with Keto, Low-Carb, Whole 30 and other diets.

Following a strict diet just isn’t something that works for my lifestyle. When I start to feel restricted, I give up and eat ALL the things.

Weight Watchers is a lifestyle and it’s something you can do forever. I also love that I don’t have to cook separate meals for my family.

We still eat a lot of our favorite meals, I just find creative ways to make them healthier. We still snack but instead of loading the pantry with potato chips and other junk food, we now have healthier options.

That’s not only a win for me but for the whole family.

I can eat what I want.

I touched on this a bit above but it’s so true. You can really eat what you want. You do learn portion control but if you want to enjoy chips, have at it.

When you sign up for Weight Watchers, you enter in some personal information in regards to your height, weight, etc and Weight Watchers tells you how many points you can have per day ( I get 23). As long as you stay within your daily points (you also have weekly points available) you can eat what you want.

Ashley Tracks Points had a great analogy on her Instagram story (go follow her). She said Weight Watchers is just like spending money. Yes, you can go splurge on a $2,000 purse or you can go to Target and buy a more affordable purse that really does the same thing.

The same is true with your Weight Watcher points. You could spend 15 points on a small bag of Dorito’s or you can spend  3 points on 57 pretzel sticks.

It works!

Weight Watchers has been around for 50 years! It works but it’s not a magic formula. You have to be committed and ready to make the change.

You can lie to your point tracker all day but you won’t see changes.

Weight Watchers is designed to help you have long-term success. You won’t lose 20 pounds in a week, it’s a slow weight loss for most people but it’s made to be sustainable.

Tracking is easy.

I know a lot of people get worried about tracking their points. I’m here to tell you that tracking is sooooo easy!

As a member, you have a website you can log into to track your points. However, they also have an amazing app where you can track on the gone.

Even better, you can scan your food labels and the app will track your points. I always use the app!

One of my favorite things about the app is the scanner. While I’m out grocery shopping, I scan so many things to ensure I’m making good buying decisions.

Setting good a good example for my daughter.

Last but most definitely not least, I want to be a good example for my daughter.

My daughter is 10 years old and starting to come into an age where body image is a big deal. I never want her to see mom dieting all of the time. I want her to see mom healthy and happy.

I never want to tell my daughter that I can’t enjoy an ice cream with her because mom is on a diet again. I want to teach her (and my boys) that it’s ok to treat yourself but you have to have a healthy balanced diet.

When I’m making healthy food choices my kids are more likely to follow my lead.

Curious about joining Weight Watchers? Here's what you need to know about Weight Watchers

So what does a typical day look like for me?

I know a lot of people wonder what you eat on Weight Watchers and as I mentioned above that’s 100% up to you!

Here is a sample of my day. Remember this changes daily.

Breakfast:

Scrambled eggs with salsa + 2 slices of turkey bacon

Snack:

Apple + pretzels

Lunch:

Flatout wrap with sliced turkey, laughing cow cheese, a slice of avocado + a hard-boiled egg (sometimes fruit as well)

Snack:

1 cup unsweetened cold brew mixed with a Premiere Caramel Protein drink.

Dinner:

Grilled chicken breast, green beans, salad with light dressing + 1/2 a baked potato.

Snack:

Weight Watcher Strawberry Cheesecake (so good)

Pretzels, Skinny Popcorn or any other low point options I have in the house.

I’m a big snacker at night, so sometimes this is where I use a lot of my points.

The options you have available while on Weight Watchers really is unlimited! Make healthy choices and don’t forget to treat yourself as well.

This Air Fryer Vegetables recipe is pretty amazing. Loaded with flavor and the best part is it’s still very healthy!

I love my kitchen gadgets but I don’t always use them in my everyday life. This all changed the moment my husband bought me an Air Fryer.

Do love your Air Fryer? If so, you to try this Air Fryer Vegetables recipe. It's seriously amazing and loaded with flavor, making it the perfect healthy side dish. If you need a new Air Fryer recipe idea, this is the one for you! #AirFryer #AirFryerRecipes #RoastedVegetables #AirFryerVegetables

Air Fryer Vegetables Recipe

When I say that I love my Air Fryer, I’m really not lying. I use my Air Fryer almost every single day!

I’ve even talked several of my bachelor neighbors into getting one.

For this particular recipe, you can really use whatever vegetables you have on hand. I like to have a pretty wide variety of vegetables as a side dish but feel free to substitute anything you don’t like.

Best of all, if you are following Weight Watchers, this dish is only 1 point! Technically, you could make it a zero-point dish but I love the extra oil and parm cheese.

To make the recipe exactly as I did, you’ll want to have the following items.

Broccoli florets
Cauliflower florets
Baby carrots
Yellow squash
Baby zucchini
Mushrooms
Onion
Balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
Garlic
Sea salt
Black pepper
Red pepper flakes
Parmesan cheese

I like to toss my vegetables in the Balsamic and Olive Oil versus spraying the vegetables. If you are going to spray your vegetables, make sure you aren’t using Pam as it can take the coating off of the Air Fryer.

I have a glass olive oil sprayer and it’s worked out perfect!

Veggies are always zero points but these Weight Watcher Air Fryer veggies have parmesan cheese and are so yummy! All for 1 SP.

This Weight Watchers cheesecake recipe is so yummy and it’s only 1 Freestyle Point!

Weight Watchers is hands down the best diet out there. Mainly because it isn’t a diet, it’s a lifestyle! If you are new to Weight Watchers, make sure to check out my post on Getting Started with Weight Watchers

Cheesecake in a jar. Weight Watchers Recipe

Weight Watchers Cheesecake

Weight Watchers is all about making small changes to your diet. I don’t know about you but I always have a serious sweet tooth after dinner.

By the way, if you need some meal inspiration, make sure to check out my Weight Watchers Meal Plan

This strawberry cheesecake is a guilt-free way of curing that sweet tooth.

I like making these cheesecakes in a jar as it lets me prepare my desserts for the week. I’m using 8-ounce mason jars but you can use any size you’d like (or just use a bowl).

We always think about preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner but often forget about dessert. However, dessert is normally the biggest thing to throw us off our diet.

I’m a late night snacker, so if I don’t have my desserts pre-planned, I’m headed straight for the bad stuff.

I love that you can get creative with this recipe and add in any of your favorite fruits.

If you want, you can even create a graham cracker crust but that will increase the Weight Watcher Points, so keep that in mind.

To make this yummy Weight Watchers dessert, you’ll need the following.

  • Plain nonfat Greek Yogurt
  • Fat-free sugar-free cheesecake pudding mix
  • Strawberries, diced

Note: Some of my readers have mentioned that this recipe is a bit bitter for their taste. I have found this to be true if you DO NOT like Greek Yogurt. I personally do not mind Greek Yogurt, so I think this recipe is super tasty.

If you want to sweeten it up a bit, I suggest adding in a little sugar-free vanilla or cheesecake pudding mix. Make sure you account for the points if you make any substitutions.
